Hallie at 10 & 11 Months

Hallie is a wild child! She is growing up insanely quick. Like she is an 18 month old trapped in a 10/11 month old body. She is smart, feisty, busy, wild, snuggly, goofy, and so much more. How can such a tiny little body hold so much personality? Some say it's the red hair that makes her so wild and full of personality, but Ashton has red hair, and although he has his own kind of wild personality, he is not as big a troublemaker as Hallie. But I love it! She can definitely be difficult and frustrating, like any child obviously, but she is so full of life and adventure.

Hallie started taking her first steps on September 1st, so at 9.5 months old and now is officially a walker. She walks everywhere and has the strongest little body. I knew when she started crawling the week before she turned 6 months old she was strong and would crawl early, but it blows me away at her stability and strength. And now on top of it, she figured out how to climb on everything now. She is able to climb on top of the toilet, into the toy box, on the dishwasher, onto the couch and chairs in the living room, into the dryer, she can even climb on top of their rocking horse... all by herself. She is getting into something disastrous every time I turn around. Cupboards, drawers, toys, shelves, closets, and the toilet.

She is learning so much She loves the movie Spirit and loves horses and animals, just like her dad and brother, and she can make a sound of a horse and bear. She loves the bath and to be naked. She loves to snuggle her mama. She is doing extremely well at eating solids, but doesn't want to let go of nursing just yet-she nurses at night and nurses 1-2 times during the day. She is down to 1-2 naps a day and goes to bed between 7 and 8 and wakes up between 7 and 7:30. She can clap and wave, but will only wave at Chase when he leaves for work in the morning. She figured out to point to what she wants. She will give kisses to Chase and Ashton, but saves her best kisses for her mom! She is getting better around strangers, but still clings a little to her mom and dad when someone wants to hold her. When she doesn't get her way she likes to scream and make this scrunchy face and of course we all can't be mad after she does that face because we all just start to laugh instead. She finally has some teeth coming in. The two bottoms are in and her right front tooth is coming in now.

We love this busy girl! I can't believe that in a month and a half she will be turning 1. I know everyone says things like that, but honestly, this year has been this fastest year of my life with her. Way faster than Ashton's first year. It's crazy, but life is happy with this girl around!
