JUNE
June was filled with some good quality family time, whether it was just our family of four, with our Boyce family or our Robinson family. Ashton took swim lessons for his first time and it was a huge success! Before swim lessons, he had never put his face in the water or had gone completely under water and he hated even running through the sprinklers, now he does it with no problem and is so much more confident in the water and loves swimming and running through the sprinklers. We had a big weekend with both sides of our families. One night we went to my cousin's wedding and then got pizza benders at Italian Village and the next day we went to the Hogle Zoo with Chase's family. Ashton loves animals so he had a blast with his cousins seeing all of the animals.
JULY
July is always a festive month with Independence Day and Pioneer Day. For the 4th, we walked down the street to the parade and got some candy and then after naps we went to see if the bowling alley was open (it wasn't) and on the way we passed the rec center where Ashton did swim lessons and we decided to take the kids swimming. It was so much fun! Praise the results of swim lessons because Ashton loved going swimming, and so did Hallie! He went under water several times and went down all the slides. That night we let Ashton stay up for fireworks. The house we live in has a deck that faces west so we could see like all of the Salt Lake and Davis County fireworks going on, just miles and miles of fireworks, and fireworks that were happening on our street. It worked out really well and was way fun.
We took a couple trips to Beaver, one just to go for the weekend and the next we went for almost a week for the the 24th and the Robinson Family Reunion. This year, we stayed up in the mountains at Eagle Point Resort and it was so fun to stay in a cabin with all of Chase's siblings. When we weren't at the deer camp for the reunion, we played games, watched shows, some of us went for a hike, and just talked and enjoyed the cool mountain air. For the reunion, we ate good food, went fishing, and had a shooting competition. And let me brag that I won the women's shooting competition and Chase won the men's shooting competition. And in the process, I out shot most of the guys too. I scored a 78 and Chase an 88. The crazy thing is, on my practice round, I did awful and then on my first attempt out of two possible attempts, I only shot an 18. I tend to get a little competitive and wigged that I did so terrible so I adjusted where I was placing the sight on the gun and totally redeemed myself! I was pretty proud of myself! While fishing, this was Ashton's first time and I don't know what he was doing but he caught 5 fish. It was awesome! After the reunion ended, we stayed a few more days to stay through the 24th festivities. We go to Beaver every year for the 24th and it has become a fun tradition. We go to the parade and then over to the park to see the booths, have lunch, and the kids run in the foot races (look at the difference in a year), and then we went to the horse races. It was such a fun week and July was an awesome month!
AUGUST
Usually August is the end of summer for us because school starts back up, but as none of us are currently in school, summer doesn't have to end for us. We started off the month with a weekend with my siblings (minus Jackson). Jordan and his family and Jill and her husband came and had a sleepover at my house. We had pizza, threw the football around and let the kids run around in my backyard, and then watched the worst movie (The 15:17 to Paris). The next morning Jordan played golf in Bountiful and we were planning on going swimming that afternoon, but we last minute changed plans and decided to go to Lagoon instead. Why not when I live just 10 minutes from it, so it was a way better idea and it was a blast! I loved seeing Ashton be able to ride rides too. Even a couple of big kid rides.
I've been looking forward to August all year knowing that this was the only Lake Powell trip we were going to be taking this year. And like always, it did not disappoint! We went for about 5 days and the kids did great and we all had the best time! After Lake Powell, Ashton, Hallie, and I headed to St.George for 5 days while Chase headed back home to Centerville to work. We just played with cousins, shopped, and celebrated Ashton's 3rd birthday. On the way back home we stopped for an over-nighter/girls weekend with my mom and sisters and our kids. We shopped and took the kids to the park/splash pad, and then we stayed the night at one of the parade houses my dad built. It's up in the mountains near Payson and it was so nice! We woke up to a deer outside out window and Ashton was so excited. It was an eventful 11 day vacation!
We ended the month with me getting what we thought was kidney stones and I was in a pain that felt like child labor all night long until after 4am when I finally fell asleep, and when I woke up the next morning, the pain was gone, but I was just a little sick to my stomach. Just in time to go to Cheesecake Factory for Jill's birthday and in time for Chase to go on a horse ride with his dad in Beaver.

SEPTEMBER
Hallie took her first steps on September 1st, so we were off to a good start of the month...plus September means we are heading into fall! Hallie is officially a walker now. She walks everywhere, as well as climbs on everything. She's a huge troublemaker. We didn't go anywhere for Labor Day so we decided to just take the kids to temple square for the afternoon. In fact, we haven't gone anywhere this month. It's been just a kick back and relax kind of month. We were out of town somewhere every single weekend all of August and part of July and we are gonna be gone a lot in October so it was nice to just be home. We wanted to do something though to kind of finish off summer so we took Ashton and Hallie to the zoo one more time, and it was so fun! Now summer is officially over and we are welcoming the cooler, crisp fall weather with open arms! BUT, Summer was good to us! It was a different summer as we don't live in Southern Utah anymore, but it was still good nonetheless.
