Ashton at 1 Year Old

Ashton is 1 and I can't believe it! He is the most amazing little kid, and I can't believe the things he picks up from watching us. For example, I am a walker when I talk on the phone. I just pace all over the house. So when Ashton "talks" on the phone, he seems to start pacing too. It's so fun watching him learn and grow and develop his own personality and funny quirks. At his 12 month appointment, he came in weighing 20.14 pounds (42nd percentile), is 30.25 inches long (65th percentile), and is in the 75th percentile for his head circumference. Here's more about our crazy 1 year old boy!

Likes:
-Shaking his head no (sometimes will nod yes)
-Typing on the computer
-Cars. He's obsessed
-Fruit and ice cream
-Wearing sunglasses
-Snuggling so far that it pushes me off the bed
-Sleeping on top of me face down with his legs and arms on either side of me
-Talking on the phone
-Pulling plugs out of the outlets, which scares the crap out of me and I freak out every time

Dislikes:
-Covers and blankets
-Wearing his shoes, but since I got strap on ones, he's doing better
-Veggies, but I can cheat the system to where I go to give him a bite of what he likes and trick him by switching the spoon. He doesn't seem to mind though
-When I shower. Like hates it. He will rip the shower curtain open and just keep it open and cry while the water gets him and the floor wet. And while this is happening, I'm trying to close the curtain a little so he wont get wet, but that makes him yell and cry more. Showering is just something I have to do while he sleeps.

Milestones:
-Can make the tiger and lion noise
-Says Jill and it's the cutest thing
-Can now have whole milk
-Is allowed to sit forward facing in the carseat
-Learned how to blow, but didn't understand when we were trying to get him to blow out his birthday candles
-Walking like crazy and getting into EVERYTHING. I clean up the same mess every few minutes.
