Playing Catch Up

I realize I haven't really shared what's going on in life since like Christmas break, so I'm going to try to briefly give a little blurb about what has gone on so far this year.

JANUARY
It's been a told winter so we spent most of our days inside in our pjs and just snuggled and watched shows while Chase was working his butt off with school and work full-time. Speaking of the cold winter weather, this time of year includes the flu. Chase and I got terribly sick, we couldn't even stand up. Thank goodness for my mom and dad who drove to Cedar to bring us back to St. George so they could nurse us back to health and take care of Ashton while we were down and out for a couple days. Luckily, Ashton stayed pretty healthy this winter. I also got to see some friends I haven't seen in a long time, so yay for friends getting married so we can see each other! Chase and I also celebrated 2 years of being married (if you want to see pictures of this wonderful day, you can see them hereherehere, and here)!

FEBRUARY
February's weather couldn't make up its mind. It would be warm and sunny, then it would snow like crazy. When it was warm, we soaked up the outdoors as much as possible with lots of walks, sometimes with Chase when we were lucky. My best girl, Alexa, got married and it was a great day! Chase and I had a fun home Valentine's Day date (see here). Oh the creativity that is needed to "date" with a baby. Chase got a new job so of course, we took advantage of the warm weather we had one day and went for a walk to see him in his new office. I also took Ashton swimming for his first time!

MARCH
March is always a month we look forward to because of Spring Break (see pictures here). Chase has had a busy semester taking 15 credit and working full-time at one job then getting another job where he worked part-time at both, equaling full-time. So my days are spent just playing with Ashton and his toys all day, watching Netflix, and keeping up on my house and other wife duties. We ventured to good ole Snow Canyon to see Aunt Natalie's last Eshelle Review. I took Ashton to the gym for his first time, and he was a great 20 pound weight for Jill to workout with. Then we ended the month with Easter, where Ashton had his first Easter Egg Hunt!

APRIL
April was the craziest month. There are a ton of birthdays in both mine and Chase's family, but we started with mine on the 7th and it was a great day! My dad bought me a huge area rug for my living room for my birthday, and it was perfect timing because Ashton starting crawling the same week we got it. I have been in St. George this month more than I've been home in Cedar. I was there every weekend for some kind of obligation, I stayed with my brother, Jackson, for a week while my parents were on a cruise (most hectic week ever), and then I came home for a week then left for St. George again for another week so Chase could focus and have less distraction during finals. You could say I'm sick of packing and living out of a suitcase. Ashton went on the swings and had some ice cream for the first time, and he loved both!  We went shooting at the Purgatory, and Ashton got to ride in the golf cart and wear these (too big) earphones. Then Chase and I celebrated finals being over by going to Olive Garden, while Ashton got to have a dance party with his Robinson cousins.

Now it's May, which means it's summer, which means it's Lake Powell and camping season! I will do better at keeping you informed from here on out. Until next time... Over and out.
