9 Months

Ashton is the funnest little kid! This month has been full of milestones. He's quickly going from infant to toddler, and I can't believe it! It's so much fun watching him grow and learn all these new things. What's not so fun is starting to ween him off of nursing. I only nurse at night, but he has a habit of waking up every 2-3 hours wanting to eat. Lets just say my nights are long lately trying to get him back to sleep at night without nursing, and it usually ends up with me falling asleep on the floor holding Ash's hand through the crib bars. It's ok though because it's going to be worth it in the end when Ashton doesn't wake up 4+ times a night.

Ashton had his 9 month appointment today, and the doctor just loves him! He is 19.07 lbs (46th percentile), 28.5 inches tall (56th percentile), and had a head circumference of 46.5 cm (88th percentile). So he is perfect height and weight and has a super big head with a giant, smart brain! haha Anyway, here is a little bit about our Ashton...

Likes:

-Laughing. He loves laughing with everyone and feeds off everyone's laughter, which then makes us laugh harder and then makes him laugh harder

-Bouncing/jumping. We need to buy a trampoline

-Eating with everyone at the table

-Being outside in any weather condition
-Music. Current loves The Office theme song
-Chase's guitar. He takes off to "play" it every chance he gets

-Making car driving noises when he plays with his car
-Sticking his tongue out all day
-Sleeping on his belly and side
-Sitting with his ankles crossed and it's adorable
-Taking off naked during a diaper change 

Dislikes:

-Putting clothes on

-Being put to sleep ever since he became mobile
-Sitting still while reading
-Drinking from his sippy unless it's right before or during a meal or snack
-Having a blanket on him

Milestones:

-Crawling like crazy
-Standing up and walking while holding onto furniture
-Loves dancing, especially to his TMNT car song and The Office theme song

-Waving
-Gives high fives
-Learned how to clap, and he claps on command whenever I say "yay"
-Is now eating finger foods, and learned how to chew. He has been given the ok to eat any food besides honey, shellfish, and milk
