MARCH
March was filled with lots of family time. My mom came up north one weekend and came to visit, where we took this picture of Hallie, me, my mom, and my grandma...4 Generations.
We spent a day with one of my very best friends since I was a little kid. Kristalyn had her little boy, Liam, just 5 weeks after I had Hallie. Kristalyn just moved to Wisconsin. Right as I moved up north within 15 minutes from her, she moved to Wisconsin haha. Huge bummer.
The last week of March I took the kids to St. George while my parents were out of the country for the week to stay with my little brother, Jackson. Well Jackson is 17 years old and has his own life- school, work, friends. So I spent all week basically hanging out with my in-laws. Chase's sister has two kids exactly my kids age so she came to St. George from Las Vegas and stayed the week too so we could hang out. We went to the Children's Creativity Museum, swimming, the park, shopping. It was a busy and way fun week! Before my parents left for Jamaica my dad took me and Ashton on the RZR to Dairy Queen. Ashton loves the RZR now!
APRIL
Over General Conference/Easter weekend, my parents and siblings came to celebrate it at my house in Centerville. We made breakfast and watched Conference then had an easter egg hunt in my backyard in between sessions and then had dinner together before everyone went back home.
The next weekend was my birthday. I hardly took any pictures, but it was a great weekend! We went to Red Cliffs with the Gentry side of Chase's family and had lunch and a little Easter egg hunt for the kids, after lunch my mom got me a massage at Entrada for my birthday. I love massages, but after it's over (it's too quick of an hour) it's basically like it never happened. But it was an awesome hour just to myself, with no kids or anyone. After the massage Chase took me to dinner at Gun Barrel. It was delicious and so nice to just have some quiet, uninterrupted time with Chase. Sunday we stopped in Beaver on our way back home to take a quick ride on the horses. This was Hallie's first time on the horse.
The very next day after getting home, Hallie got so sick. She got an ear infection and that whole day she was just so sick. It was so sad, but she was still so sweet and snuggly. And then of course, Ashton got sick too a little bit. Rough week. This is just a couple weeks after Chase got really sick and was in bed for 4 or 5 days. It was a rough few weeks of sickness and it's a miracle I never got sick at all. Mom's can't have sick days. It's completely impossible, so it was a huge miracle.
Someone gave us free tickets to go to the Bee's Game one Friday night. Ashton loves baseball so this was fun to go, but he was pretty frustrated that he couldn't go out onto the field and play.
MAY
On May 3rd, my little nephew was born. They named him Reggie Chad Boyce. I love that Ashton and Hallie have cousins on both Chase's side and my side of the family who are exactly their age. I love this picture of my brother and his two boys, Stockton and Reggie.
Mother's Day was a great day! Chase and I actually had to speak in sacrament, but it went well so it wasn't too painful. Ashton did this picture with his handprints for me in nursery (which BTW, Ashton suddenly loves nursery and I absolutely love it! He has such a good time and all the leaders say he is the best singer! I can't believe he is gonna be a sunbeam next year) Being a mom and wife is my sole purpose and I love it with all my heart! I'm so blessed that I have two such sweet kids!
Memorial day weekend was a blast! I didn't take any pictures, but we went to the lake on Saturday afternoon to ride the jet skis and wave runners. It was so much fun! The water was freezing, but this year I wasn't pregnant so I was so excited to do stuff on the water, and we don't have our Powell trip until August, so I was determined to live it up on the lake that day. We went with my family and half of the family left and Chase, me, Jill and Caleb decided to stay and wake skate behind the wave runner for a little bit. It was so fun, I can't even explain how much I love the lake! After the lake we had dinner and of course, went and got a snow cone. How cute are these little cousins!
Memorial Day is usually spent with Chase and his family in Beaver. We always go put flowers on the graves there and stay for the Memorial Day Program and then we go have lunch on the mountain. It was a colder, overcast/rainy day, but it was still so fun. This is usually the first day of the year we get on the mountain. Ashton loves the mountains, and had such a fun time with his cousins. He is such a fun age, where he tries to be so independent and grown up and just has so much fun playing. And of course, we can't leave Beaver without ending the trip with a quick horse ride.
We are so stoked it's summertime now! We have a few trips we are so looking forward to this summer. And this year, living in a new city, I'm so excited to go explore and do fun, new things with my Chase and the kids. Happy summer!
