Pregnancy Update

I am 30 weeks pregnant! Just 10 more weeks or so until this baby girl arrives! We are so excited! We are still working on a name, but we won't decide until she is here. Ashton already loves "baby sisher!" I think he has a good idea about what's going on. He knows where the baby is, he talks to her, pushes on my belly and says, "wake up, sisher." I taught him how to use the burp cloths and he likes to practice putting it on his shoulder so sisher can lay on him.

Everything is going well with this pregnancy so far. I don't know why, but I definitely feel smaller this pregnancy. Like not just my belly, but my whole body. I was really swollen everywhere when I was pregnant with Ashton. My face, legs, arms, everything we just big. I feel pretty normal this time around, but just with a belly. I wish I remembered my weight progress with Ashton, but I can't remember. So it's hard to compare that and see if I really am smaller, but I'm gonna boost my confidence and say I am this time. I am a little more uncomfortable this time around and either I'm getting arthritis or it's the pregnancy, but the joints and circulation in my hands are not good. My fingers fall asleep all the time, especially at night, and the joints in my hands and feet are so sore and tight in the morning. I'm hoping it's pregnancy and that it gets better after the baby is here.

I'm already anxious to get into nesting mode. I want so bad to just put her bed up in my room, pull out the swing, and everything. But it's too soon and so instead, I've been a crafting machine lately. I took a sewing class 9 years ago as a sophomore in high school, and haven't used a sewing machine since now. Trying to think about things I've learned in high school that I still remember today and can apply to my life, I can't really think of anything. I'm happy to say that I actually remember how to sew. So I guess high school isn't totally worthless haha kidding... kinda. Here are some pictures of my projects.

I made some burp cloths when I was pregnant with Ashton. Ones that were borderline gender neutral (since I didn't know if Ashton was a boy or girl), but they were really more boyish than they were girlish luckily. So this time, knowing it's a girl, I had a ton more fun picking out the flannel fabric. Here's how they turned out.

A couple of car seat covers. I was gonna do the stretchy car seat covers and got a couple of knit fabrics I love, but decided I didn't like it, and we had the canopy cover for Ashton and liked it so I decided to take on a project and make a couple. I'm real proud of how they turned out.

So with the cute knits I got, I figured I had to use them so I turned them into swaddles and with the scraps from the knit and flannel, I made some headbands and bows. These are the ones I've made so far. I still have a ton of scraps, which is why there is like a few of the same fabric, but in a different kind of headband and bow. Oh an I also decided to cut crochet a binky clip. We'll see how it holds up.

I'm not the best picture-taker when I'm pregnant. Who wants to have pictures of them at their chubbiest, but I occasionally do a progress picture just because I should.
