The Holiday Season

Christmas is so magical with a little kid! It was Ashton's 2nd Christmas, but this year was way better because he kind of knew what was going on and had some excitement in opening gifts. After putting up the Christmas tree, he quickly learned how to say "tree" and he also learned how to say "Jesus" and "Santa." His favorite movie now is The Santa Clause.... STILL. Every morning he wakes up and gives me my phone or remote and says "da-ta" (santa) and he will watch it all the way through. It's been life-changing for me because I can now get some things done while he watches it, but now Christmas is over and he still watches it 2-3 times a day. I've been hunting for the next favorite for him, but nothing is sticking like The Santa Clause.

Chase finished another semester, praise the heavens! He only has 2 more semesters left. TWO! I can almost taste the ending. It was so nice to take a break from him being in school, and kind of work too. He didn't have much going on at work so could just come and go as he pleased. We spent a lot of time in St. George with family and friends and loved life!

My brother and his family were gonna be with his in-laws for Christmas so they came to St. George the weekend before Christmas to do our Boyce party. The little cousins got to open presents together and get in the tub together... As you can see from the picture, they are definitely boys who like to play with themselves... haha

All of Chase's siblings were in St. George for Christmas, which meant it was cousin heaven! We spent Christmas Eve day with the Robinsons and Christmas Eve night with my family doing our annual Christmas Eve dinner and program. We watch this video and then have a talent show. My sister is a lip-syncing wizard and usually does Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" (She can lip-sync it better than Mariah Carey can if you know what I mean haha), but this year she performed Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and it was AMAZING! I would post a video of that and of everything else I video'd over Christmas, but I struggle posting videos on here for some reason. We slept over at the Robinson's and spent Christmas morning and afternoon with them then did Christmas that night at my parents house and played games there. It was so fun!

Part of our Christmas from Chase's grandma and grandpa was a snowmobiling tour up at Brian Head. So we went up with all of Chase's siblings and cousins to go snowmobiling. It was a blast! I've never been, but I love to jet ski so it was way fun!

I tend to always forget about taking any kind of picture New Years Eve, but Chase and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings that afternoon and did a little returning and exchanging of gifts then that night we played games with some of my family and cousins that were in St. George. Great ending to a great year. A 2016 recap will be coming up next!

XOXO,

Jess
