Dads are pretty great! I'm very blessed to have Chad Boyce as my dad. He is my favorite person to be around. A little about my dad... He's a shaved ice (the Lins loation) addict to the point where the employees know him and his order before he has to say anything, he loves anything that involves the lake (boating, skiing, wakeboarding, jet skiing, etc.), he's a Rastafarian at heart (because he served his mission in Kingston, Jamaica), he would spend thousands of dollars on a boat, ATV, jet ski, car, or any other big toy before he would spend $50 on groceries, he acts like a teenager stuck in a 51 year old's body, he has a freakish obsession with Mexican food to the point where he would have it for every meal everyday for the rest of his life (seriously no joke)..... I could go on and on about good old Chadzboy. He is my idol, and I'm so glad I have so many of the same likes and qualities as him!
Daniel Robinson is the best father-in-law and grandpa. He goes above and beyond to make everything a good experience. He is an electrical genius, a lover of camping, fishing, shooting guns, horse riding, and hunting, and he's crazy knowledgeable about the Gospel. He and Chase are basically the same person. Good thing I think Daniel is an awesome because I'm confident Chase is going to grow up to be just like him!
Chase Robinson is one hot dad who is so cute with our little boy! I love that Chase is a very well rounded person. He grew up loving everything his dad loves: camping, fishing, horse riding, shooting guns, hunting, the Gospel, and sports. When we got married, he had never been to Lake Powell or even boating. He now adds boating, wakeboarding/skating, tubing, swimming, and jet skiing to the things he loves to do. His sense for fashion is amazing! He always looks good even if he is wearing a hat, tee, and shorts. He is a lover of music whether it's country, rock, 80's music, rap, or the classy times of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole. Ashton learned to say dad just weeks before Father's Day, and he says it all day everyday now. He loves playing with his dad, and looks up to him so much!
Chase's and my grandpas are amazing people who love their families very much. Chase's grandpa Neil is a car enthusiast and loves dogs, and his grandpa Robi is the same person as Daniel and Chase in the fact that he loves outdoors. My papa Pete died when I was 6 months old due to cancer, but I love to hear stories about him and how much fun he was, and my grandpa Boyce is my hero. My gramps just passed away a week after Father's Day (a post about him is coming up next), and I'm lucky to have spent his last Father's Day with him. He was/is the most amazing man who loved his family more than anything, especially my grandma.
These men are my hero's, as well as all the other Fathers who have influenced my life for the better. What would we do without dads?
