Memorial Day 2016

For Memorial Day weekend we headed to Beaver. Chase, Ashton, and I got to Beaver late Friday night and just went to bed. Saturday morning we just enjoyed being outside. Ashton got on a horse for the first time and we played on the tree swing and doing underdogs for what seemed to be hours. That afternoon, Chase went for a horse ride up the mountain with his grandpa and Ashton and I stayed with Nana Robi and watched shows, ate good food, played on the swing some more, went to Dairy Queen for ice cream with my mom and dad (because they got a new car and were on their way home from up north) and just hung out.

Sunday morning we went to church in Beaver then met up with the rest of Chase's family to have dinner and go put some flowers on some graves. Monday we got up and some of us went shooting for a little bit before the Memorial Day program at the cemetery. We put some more flowers on graves and sat under a tree with some snacks and listened to the program. After the program, we put the kids for a nap and got ready to go for a picnic up the mountain. Some of us rode the horses and the rest drove up to where we had our picnic. When we got back, we cleaned everything up, gave Ash a bath, ate dinner, and played on the swing one more time before we ended our weekend.

Ashton was so good! Lately, he has been pretty clingy to me, but he would let everyone hold and play with him. It was such a fun and much needed weekend vacation!
