Christmas 2015 was one to remember! Even though Ashton is only 4 months old, Christmas with a kid is fun! And it's only going to get more fun as he gets older, and as we have more kids. I've missed putting together new toys. This Christmas was also wonderful because we got many things that we really wanted and needed, but most importantly, it was wonderful because of all the time we got to spend with family!
On Christmas Eve we did our annual Boyce Bash and had cousins and whoever was in St. George come over for a nice dinner, the Prophet and Apostles Testimonies on Christ video, and a talent show. Every year the talents get better and better, but the best talent show tradition is Jill's lip sync performance to Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You. Then we all open our Christmas pajamas... This year my mom thought it would be a good idea to get all matching onesie pajamas. After all the extended family left, my mom had a game night planned with prizes. We played cards, bingo, catch phrase, and other games where winners got gift cards to restaurants all over town.
Christmas day we all woke up and did the usual present-opening. This year for Christmas, I gave my parents a picture of Ashton. One for my mom and one for my dad, and my dad cried when he saw the picture of Ashton in the Rams outfit. It melts my heart how much my dad loves that little boy! That afternoon we went over to the Robinson's to open gifts and spend time with them. We ended our Christmas jamming out to the new Guitar Hero, which is really difficult with the new guitar keys. It was a great day with family!
New Years weekend was spent with the Robinson side where we went on a hike, had a picnic, ate lots of good food, went to Star Wars (which was my first time seeing any of them. Chase's brother had to give me a very long and detailed explanation of what the other 6 are about), and much more. The only picture I got of New Years weekend was of Ashton in a little hat that Chase's mom used to dress him in as a baby. Hilarious!
Hope everyone had as good of a Christmas and New Year's as we did!
