Four Months With Ashton

Ashton is just full of life, yells, and smiles! At four months old, here is a little about our little guy.

Size: He wears 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers. He's getting to be a little chunk and it's adorable!

Hair: I could never figure out Ashton's hair color. When he was first born, it looked red in some lights, then golden blonde in other lights. Then he went through a balding phase, and when it grew back, it was definitely blonde. Now, as he is getting more and more hair, it looks like a golden red (if that makes sense). Basically, I'm thinking he's gonna be a little strawberry blonde kid.

Eyes: His eyes are big, open, and beautiful blue!

Eating: He goes through ups and downs with eating. Lately, he acts like he is never interested in eating. His best eating times are when he is sleepy. He is still solely breast feeding, but he has his four month check up in a couple days so maybe we will be introducing solids. My mom and sister love giving him licks of food and he loves everything. He will probably rock at eating solid food.

Sleeping: Ashton is a champion at sleeping. He's slept through the night several times, but when he doesn't sleep through the night, it's just once a night he wakes up to eat. So far, the record for the hours he has slept without waking up is 10 hours! As far as naps go, he takes a morning nap and at least one afternoon nap (the number of naps depends on how long he naps for), but if I try to lay him down for a nap. He will wake up and won't go back to bed. So I find myself holding him while he naps during the day. We are trying to break that and figure out how to get him to nap in his bed.

Dislikes: 
-When I walk out of the room
-Tummy time and practicing rolling over
-Baths in Grandma Boyce's sink
-His swing
-His binky (except when he's tired)
-Getting his boogers sucked out
-Putting clothes on

Likes:
-Being naked
-Taking baths in his tub
-Taking/yelling (lately, his yells sound like a pterodactyl... it's loud)
-Being held and snuggled
-Car rides
-Television (he's definitely my child)
-Sucking his thumb and index finger
-Itsy Bitsy Spider and Wheels on the Bus
-Sitting up and standing up
-Playing with his toy on his play mat
-Getting his diaper changed

New Tricks/Skills:
-He has found his laugh (most joyful sound in the world!)
-Blows bubbles all day long
-Put anything by his mouth and he will stick out his tongue and lick it a few times
-Is so close to sitting up on his own, he can do it for a few seconds, but that's it
-He's mastered the pouty face

Measurements:
16.07 lbs (66th percentile)
25.25 inches tall (46th percentile)
43 cm head circumference (83rd percentile)

I'm sure there's much more than what I listed here, but it's all I can think of as of right now. Ashton is gaining so much character and personality. It's so much fun! I just love being his mom! Here are a few several pictures of him lately.
