Everybody Loves the Holidays

The holidays seem like such a long time ago. I have not been a very good blogger, but let me tell you a little about my Christmas break.

It was so nice to be out of school for a few weeks, but now we're back in session. The good news to being back to school is that this is my last semester FOREVER! I can't believe I'm graduating in just over 3 months. I feel like no one understands this feeling. So anyway, here are some December highlights.

So this was my attempt to get a panoramic picture of all our friends that went to Beaver for our little annual Christmas get away. It was so fun to see our friends over the break.

I can't remember the last time I made a gingerbread house, so my mom bought me a kit and I went to town one night. It was too much fun!

I spent a lot of quality time with my rad siblings! It's been a while since it's been just the four of us. It's pretty weird when everyone starts to grow up and get married and what not, and now Jacks is the only one living at home. Growing up is just a weird thing, but I sure love these people.

So the past couple of years, I've heard of people doing a childhood reenactment and always wanted to do it for my mom. I originally thought I should wait to do it for Mother's Day, but I knew my dad would love it too. So one night we kicked my parents out of the house and made a book of some of our childhood classic photos with the reenacted photos. This is just one of the pictures, and if you know me and my family, you know why this picture is so great (like look at Jill).

Along with the childhood reenactment book, we got my parents a giftcard to Five Alls, which is the restaurant where my parents got engaged. They bawled, they were so surprised. That was the best gift I've ever thought of, I'll never be able to top it. My dad could not stop looking at the book. He would look at it, set it down, then pick it up a couple of minutes later and smile and get all teary-eyed.

Christmas morning was so much fun! All of Chase's siblings were in town for Christmas too. We don't have little nieces and nephews running around at my parents house so it was so fun to see Chase's little nieces open their Christmas presents. Every gift they would get, they would jump up and down and show us what they got. It was so funny!

One of my very best friends has been home from her mission since July, and we haven't really had a big chance to catch up and hang out. They came to St. George for a week for New Years, and I got to spend a lot of time with her. On New Years Eve, whoever could went and did a session at the temple. It was a great way to end 2014. Later that night, Our families got together for a New Years party. Chase and I are big Jimmy Fallon fans lately and recently saw this awesome game he played with Bradley Cooper. If you've never seen the video, go HERE. So, we decided to play our own little version of it. It was so much fun and so funny. (I have a video of it, but it wouldn't upload, so just watch the real thing to get the picture).

To end Christmas vacation, we hit some weddings. This cake was for Lexi (Bunting) Wood, and she loved it! It turned out so great! Then the next day was our friend, Boots's wedding.

It was such a great few weeks! Now it's January; the greatest month of the year. I'll tell you why next post. Stay tuned!
