We have our ultrasound in just over a week! When I was pregnant with Ashton we decided to not find out if he was a boy or a girl. So we were thinking we would do this for each kid after, but we are kind of leaning toward finding out this time. It was easier to not know with Ashton because we were both very confident he was a boy, which of course we were right. This time, I am not sure. Chase said he has the same feeling as he did with Ashton that it's a boy, but I don't have the same feeling. I don't necessarily think it's a girl over a boy, but I just have no feeling either way. It could be either. So we are a little more curious about this one. We will see what we end up deciding.
We decided to get a doctor in Cedar instead of St. George. It's so nice being just 5 minutes from the hospital instead of 50 minutes. When I called the doctor to schedule an appointment, I was only like 4-5 weeks along and they prefer to wait until 10-12 weeks for the first doctor appointment. I went the beginning of May and was 12 weeks along. Fortunately, that night some of Chase's family was coming to Cedar so we decided to tell them all then. We got a little stick horse and told Ashton to go show grandma and grandpa his new toy and it had a note and when they opened it, there was the ultrasound picture and a note that said "We have another cowboy coming to our posse in November." A week later we headed to Hawaii with my family. One morning we went to my parents condo for breakfast and I got Ash a shirt that says Big Bro on it and just let them notice. haha it only took about 5 minutes before my dad was sitting on the couch and I noticed him looking at Ashton's shirt for a minute. Then he asked if this was an announcement and I said maybe... and he got excited and I said show mom and my dad lifted Ashton up and told my mom to look and she started screaming and stuff haha it's so fun telling everyone when you're pregnant!
Wow I didn't mean to write this much, but we are just so excited and anxious for November to get here! Even Ashton is (I think) understanding what's going on. He knows where the baby is and asks to see the picture of the baby all the time. It's cute! But he still thinks it's ok to jump on me an dmy belly. haha I can't wait to add this little babe to our family!
(My original plan was to do a cute beach picture of Ash holding the picture for the public announcement. He was not having that because it was cutting into his playing time in the sand and ocean. I was not planning on being in the picture at all, but Chase manned up (who usually is against being in pictures) and said let's just be in it with him. It turned out pretty cute so it's fine!)
